The Lobos would like to generate a scholarship as a gesture of empathy and to support this town and team amidst their grieving. Please help us achieve our goal of 5,000 to award to a player who will be continuing on to college and award him scholarship to ease his financial burden. Lets help rebuild the Humboldt community's spirit.
The Land of Enchantment Amateur Hockey Association (LOEAHA) is proud to announce the 2018 New Mexico Player Selection Camp (NMPDC) to be held April 21, 2018 at The MAC Arena in Rio Rancho. The PDC is an opportunity for boys with birth years 2001 - 2004 to demonstrate their abilities and compete for the state allocated roster spots to attend advanced District Player Camps.
This year the NMPSC evaluation process will consist of skill based on-ice drills, on-ice and off-ice timed or measured skills, and a scrimmage. The tentative NMPDC schedule is as follows:
Registration Starts: 1:00pm
On-Ice Sessions: 2:15 to 3:15pm and 4:45 to 6:15pm
After the scrimmage, evaluators and coaches will briefly meet with each participant individually to discuss their strengths and target areas for improvement. Players will be notified of their results by email shortly after the camp.
The cost to participate in the NMPSC is $45 (or $60 if you register after April 20th or at the Door).
Please be aware, should you be selected to attend the District or National camps, there are additional costs associated with those camps. Though the extra cost can be burdensome, the benefits of these camps include:
On-ice participation with NCAA College, Junior, AAA, Prep School, USAH National and, sometimes, NHL personnel
Opportunity to measure themselves against the best players in the district
Exposure to scouts and higher-level coaching
Possible selection to the gender and birth year specific National USA Hockey Select Camps
We look forward to seeing everyone at the camp on April 21st.
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like an application.
